Our Scarpone Norwegian welted hiker forms part of our Sweeney Vintage range and showcases Italian craftsmanship. The finished boots are washed in specialist machines to create a vintage worn and lovingly restored aesthetic. A Norwegian welt is a favoured construction for hikers, as it provides extra stability and protection, with the leather welt covering the join between the upper and the sole; we've opted for the St Moritz rubber outsole, which has a practical cleated tread with a cleated rubber top-piece on a leather stacked heel. The vintage aesthetic of the calf suede upper has a supple bellows tongue; a traditional feature to prevent gaps in the upper. Antiqued brass D-rings and 2 top ski hooks keep a good flexible fit and make the boots quick and easy to pull on and take off, with an additional leather back pull tab. As you'd expect we've included a full calf leather lining and insock.
